I used Atacama 100% Alpaca for these ..they are nice and soft and should be VERY warm .....

The second pair are just another of my crocheted socks..the same pattern I usually use from the book Crocheted Socks...by Janet Rehfeldt and Mary Jane Wood.
.The pattern is called Jacquard! Jacquard! I used a Lion Brand self Striping for this pair. These are also for My Secret SOS pal...I figured I'd surprise her with a crocheted pair as well....These will go out on Monday!! Hopefully!

yeah I love the blue ones too..it's hard to give them up...but I should have enough to make a pair for myself...
and Yeah the Lionbrand stuff...I have tons of it....somehow I ended up with a bunch in that particular colorscheme...not sure why..... I forgot I had it even..I think I had planned to make matching socks for my girls and me..even after making these I should still have enough to do that..LOL
