Oh my...I can't believe I haven't posted since the 7th!!! It's been pretty busy around here lately.....which is probably a good thing....takes my mind off DH being gone...well.....not really.....but it makes the time go a little faster at least.....so what have we been up to??....Britty auditioned for District chorus and made it of course( there wasn't much worry about that)but the exciting news was she had the Highest score for her section at her school....and the 2nd highest for her section out of all the schools.......that is pretty good and she was quite proud.....this means she also has a really good chance of making State later...then she had gymnastics tryouts and also made the team....she pretty much knew she would though, because he didn't have enough girls trying out to need to cut anyone....but she feels she's about as good as the rest of the girls, which is a BIG difference from when she was on the team two years ago.....back then, she also made it because there weren't enough girls to cut anyone, but at that time she wasn't that good.....and felt she really didn't contribute to team..she got to compete, but her scores were not added to the team scores....this year ..she'll actually be a full participant and her scores will count....this weekend her coach worked with her and made her a floor routine.....I think she's going to have a lot fun on the team this year........ the routine looks a little sloppy since she was only just learning it......she needs to tighten or refine the routine quite a bit.....there's also a little more to it....they are going to add more at the end...and the parts where she is just jogging across the mat are where they'll add tumbling passes....















This weekend was also a special one for her....it was Ring Dance( basically Junior Prom...but they get their class rings on this night as well...hence the name)......she went with her boyfriend...and 4 other friends.......they all looked soo adorable.....then they all came over to our house for the night afterward.....OH MY.....needless to say I got NO sleep....and was exhusted at church the next day........























































a couple of weeks ago we also went to Poor Clares .....Poor Clare's are a group of cloistered nuns that live just north of Williamsburg in their new monastary....each year we try to take a Pilgrimage to the Monestary with other Parish members..I really enjoy going..it's so peaceful...we join them for Vespers and for the Rosary....then we get to talk to one or two of the nuns.....because they are cloistered...they don't have much interaction with anyone outside the cloister.....they have a special room with a screen ...they stand on one side and we on the other......they live a life of simplicity and poverty and rely on the donations of others for their needs.....
