A day at Bay Beach( Green Bay)

Took the kiddo's big and small to Bay Beach amusement park on Monday ...fun was had by all young and old...LOL
That's Nate in the Shirt and tie....did I mentin this new 'phase" he's in? He dresses this way EVERY day, for EVERY occasion...I NAG him to wear shorts and and "T"....who'd have thought I'd be arguing with my son NOT to wear a shirt and tie..LOL

The Wedding

Most of my pics didn't come out good because of the lighting in the building...my camera's lighting isn't too good...that or I just haven't figured out how to use it properly...anyway....they were married in an Opera House in OshKosh WI....in the front entrance is a Tapestry Quilt depicting the history of OshKosh....the biulding was built sometime in the 1800's and is reported to be haunted...



The wedding itslef was beautiful...the Bride couldn't get her vows out of the pocket in her dress so instead.She started singing her favorite love song to her husband to be..Accapella wihtout a hint of nervousness...WOW....

then instead fo a Limo they Drove to the reception in a Trolly....later we all got Trolly rides





the reception was a Mardi gras theme

MY Niece's Fiance surprised her with a 79 Corvette the night before their wedding....the pictures say it all....

More trip

Later that same day...Sunset.....and rain..we drove thru a major storm Wednesday night...we drove straight thru and arrived early in the morning...

Wisconsin or bust!

Family Portait

About 2 months ago my good friend Joan( who also happens to be a professional photograhper) offered to take our Family Portait as a Birthday Gift to me....well...they are finally done and they were definately worth the wait!!!
and here are a few she took of Rae and her boyfriend Joe

Here's a sprinkling of stuff happening on the homestead..Dishcloths...for the Dishclothalong... An Afghan for My neice's Wedding gift... I've been making one for each of my neices as they've gotten married so it's come to be expected now...( the dishcloths are for her too) I hope she likes it...I'm not sure what her color preferences were so I'm hoping the colors are ok...and my 'blue " Stash for Project Spectrum



and there's my first attempt at spinning my own yarn!! I mentioned earlier that a nice woman online had offered to send me a drop spindle and some fleece..and I just got it!! she even sent me some 'colored" fleece.....and it's BLUE....LOL
and then there's Brad weedwhacking the ayrd...and finally today's bounty from the garden...cucumbers and green peppers...the thyme of course is from the grocers...LOL..but I DO have parsley, dill, basil and chives in my garden..





and more bounty from today's garden....peas....beans ( green and wax)carrots and beets and sweet corn
