Summer Bed

I know it's been a while since my last post! So here's a little something to tide you over until my next post(which hopefully wont be MONTHS from now...LOL) This is my Summer Bed so far. I'm looking to maybe get some new bedding though. I want to check out Target and maybe indulge in a new Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic set. Maybe.

Winter Bed

Just wanted to share my Winter Bed before I change it all up for Spring. I'm really craving colors and floral....This was my new look for Winter though.

I found the gray coverlet brand new at Goodwill! It's double sided. The solid gray you see here and the other side is the same pattern as the King Pillow sham there. It's cream/ivory with a gray motif.
I had that side on the bed for a while but then switched it over to just the gray a month or so ago. I found the two small throw pillows at Target. The white floral one I got in the summer( I was planning to go all white then) It's Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell. And the one with the Silver Tree on it I got right before Christmas. The White Patchwork quilt and matching shams were also from Target YEARS ago. They are also Shabby Chic from Rachel Ashwell.  I'm really in an indecisive mood as to how I want to decorate these days. I really like the streamlined look of Gray/Cream/Silver.....But have been craving colors and florals too. I think I'll just try to find ways to combine both looks. Maybe just accent with a few colors and florals?
Winter Look for my Livingroom...again more subdued grays and creams.....I think I want to bring my florals and colorful stuff back in....

This was my Winter Mantle. Again I want to change it up and bring in more pops of color.

And my Tablescape for Spring. Not sure I really like it....it's a little too 'cutesy' ,I think. I want something a little more sophisticated.

And Another Month Goes By

How can it be a month since I last posted. Sheesh...the days just fly by. I wish I could say I was crazy busy or something, but I don't feel I've been any busier than usual, and that's NOT that busy...LOL Oh well...here's some Wine to tide you all over

Parallel 44

Last weekend hubby and I went to Parallel 44 Winery with family and friends. Last year my SIL won a Wine Tasting Party at a Wine Tasting event here at our Neighborhood Golf Club. She finally scheduled it just in the knick or time. We had a group of about 16 and had a great time. We got a tour of the Winery where we learned a little about how they make their wines.I think we tasted about 13 of their wines. This was actually my third time here. I came a couple of years ago for a Winefest they were having. And I went this summer with CDR and the Drama Teen Not a Teen. The Winery is only about 30 minutes from our home.

Here we are waiting for the tour to start.

We've just "tasted' 6 or 7 wines. We are feeling VERY happy!

My 'haul" from the visit. I actually bought 6 bottles , I got two of the Vignoles. I think it was my favorite of the day.
And tonight I'm enjoying one of the Vignoles. I'm even drinking it out of my Parallel 44 Wine Glass. I collect glasses from every Winery we go to and try to drink the 'right' wines in them....LOL Although I sometimes drink OTHER wines in them.

Wine of the Night

CDR's little brother gifted us with this HUGE bottle of Moscato the other day. I think it was a Thank You for giving him our old truck.( Remember this? -link)We've had it forever and don't need it anymore. For the last couple years the Drama Teen Not a Teen Anymore has been driving it. But, her big brother just got himself stationed in England and left his Mustang behind for her to use for the next two years so the truck would just be sitting here....BIL has been driving our old Mercedes with NO heat, bald tires, and no working windows...the truck will be MUCH better! LOL

Better Late Than Never-Wedding!

I realize I never did get around to sharing about our daughters wedding this past summer. I kept meaning to come and post about it , share pics and all, but just never did. The more time went by the more it seemed I 'missed' the window to be able to share. But you know it's never too late, so better late than never!!

The Wedding was this past July in New Jersey. Her fiance spent his childhood in Merchantville and his family all still lives there, so it seemed the best place to have the Wedding. They were married in the Church he grew up in and that his parents still attend. The Church was absolutely beautiful and the service just as much so. The reception was at the Pennsauken Country Club and it was one of the best receptions we've ever been to. The food was too DIE for, and most of our guests were quite impressed! Our daughter did a very good job of  keeping costs down and we did a lot ourselves. She made her own dress and it turned out beautiful.

She also did the flowers herself and we even made the centerpieces for the table at the reception ourselves. It wasn't easy planning a wedding across country when neither of us live there. She was planning from Oklahoma and we were planning from Wisconsin! Rachel came up in May for her Wedding Shower( which I posted about) .Then Rachel and I headed to New Jersey early to get things finalized. We stayed with her fiance Joe's family. It was really fun getting to know them better and they were such a great help with all the wedding planning. Most of Brad's family came later. We rented a bunch of cabins at a Campground nearby, plus we brought our 5th Wheel. It was a whirlwind vacation as we tried to get in as many sights as possible during our stay. A day was spent in Philly. Another in NYC. And yet another at the Jersey Shore! And of course fitting in a Rehearsal Dinner and and Wedding and Recpetion!

 Presenting her Bouquet to Mary.

I'll share a few more pictures of the Wedding and of course a bunch from the Reception in another Post soon!
